Hi everybody my name is mike i live in kenya and this is my story .

It all started 28 years ago when my parents met my sister was 2 years later they had my bigger brother fast forward 2 years I was born . my parents decided we weren’t enough and went on to have 6 more children my brothers and sisters ,my sibling are not really that relevant in this story this will be the last you will hear of them , I will be focusing on mike and to make it more awkward I will be speaking in third person, thank me later.

Growing up in a small town it was quite boring for little mike the town’s population was really small and the large family that mike hailed from made up almost 10% of the population, mike and his sibling all went to the same school (I don’t know if it was my dad’s idea to keep bullies away from us) and that was when things changed, mike met his first and current girlfriend at the age of 9. And went on to propose at 14 years, legend has it the story is still the most embarrassing thing that ever happened in the poor guy’s life.

On a more serious note the town I grow up in was really empty and quiet which led to do a lot of reading, every evening I would find a shade and read a book, as Ralph Waldo Emerson said “there is no knowledge that is no power”, this quote motivated me since then I have picked up on many fields i now know close to 28 programming languages, a whole lot of history, chemistry and physics. I moved out of my town at 20 years old I had been unemployed for long after that.
My head felt like a large library, I have always wanted to share the information and the things that I find interesting, I started a blog at one point but i did not have the resources to manage it. Since I started working three months ago and a saved up a bit to buy a computer I have been looking for a place like steemit. The machine I bought It’s really not a powerful computer and where I live in a 100$ is a lot of money I get paid 120$ per month ,that’s rent , that’s food for 30 days, that’s the money I send home . But I managed to save 60 and borrowed 20 to get me this.

I thought I would look for solutions to my need to express myself I joined great sites likes quora (as it says on their site Quora - A place to share knowledge and better understand the world.) .somewhere around last month I discovered steemit. And steemit is exactly what I needed all this time.

After a long day of work it’s nice to come home to a community you feel you belong in, I think what the creators of steemit and all you beautiful people have managed to do is quite admirable, I have been lurking around here for some time, I only got approved yesterday and feel a strong sense of belonging here already ,steemit really is beautiful.
I will be sharing the things that ‘i think’ are interesting thank you so much for reading this it means a lot
I will hopefully share my identity once I get used to steemit I am not very comfortable in my skin at the moment thank you for reading my story have a nice day everybody.
