How does genesiswhale work?
In order to get things running this account got funded by @roomservice, who delegated 10,000 SP into this account. This should be a decent starting point for anyone who wants to get Upvotes for good content!
This account is powered by a dedicated account from Genesis Mining. All mining payouts are automatically send to blocktrades.us and converted into Steem. All Steem gained from mining will be used to power up this account and gain more and more voting power over time.
All Steemians who contribute hashpower to the whale, feed him and get him growing, will get added to the bot and rewarded with upvotes proportional to their hashpower contributed.
How can i contribute?
Anyone who already uses Genesis Mining or wanna use it anytime soon, is welcome to participate. Whenever you buy a mining contract just use the Promo Code and get qualified to get automatic upvotes from genesiswhale.

Hi, first of all i have to make clear that this account isn't associated with official Genesis Mining staff.
It just make use of the mining services and send all earnings into this account in order to power up and get the whale growing. Use the promo code as described, the whale will add you to the bot and upvote your post.

Thanks for the alert and the reminding. I think they do have a facility such that i feel they are at least more valid than the other sites. At the same time, i think they the users are not as profitable as they appear, i will use a simple model to demonstrate, please stay tune.

good you ask this question, let me clarify:
When you buy a contract and use the whales promo code, the whale receives a small fraction of hashpower.
Let's assume you buy a x11 mining contract for 2 years for 100 Mh/s - in this case the whale would also receive 3 Mh/s from your purchase because you used the promo code. In this case you would receive upvotes for 2 years until the contract runs out.
It sounds a little bit complicated - guess i'll create another post tomorrow to explain the whole process in detail.

@genesiswhale i was going through the spreadsheet you have uploaded on google docs, what does the values mentioned over there exactly means? Do u mean if i refer sha256 contract then the value of your vote is $150 and your upvote to me would be worth $150?

Thanks for taking a look at the spreadsheet. It's used to make it very transparent, who contributed how much hashing power to the whale while using the promo Code.
Let's make an example to answer your question:
-> whale gains 0.03 TH/s when promo code is used
-> whale gains 0.003 TH/s when promo code is used
The whale got 0.033 TH/s mining power if you sum it up.
In this case Max would get 91% and Linda 9% voting power on bot votes.
That would be a fair distribution because Max contributed 91% of all hashrate.
Excactly this Information is put into the spreadsheet.
If anybody would get 100% voting power it would be easy exploitable.
I'll create a extra post with more detail Information, to make it more understandable.

Yes, this is how it works! The whale upvotes automatically all of your posts proportional to your rate of contribution when using the promo code.
The % of the upvote is definied by the hashrate contributed.
