I understand completely the desire to know there is breathing human behind the faceless monitor. I understand it might appear a little childish, but I unfortunately have a bad track record with privacy online.
I very much appreciate your welcome!

One suggestion though, don't vote for own comments. It is generally frowned upon on Steem. Let other people upvote yours.

I was just wondering with what connotation that might be perceived, haha! Duly noted and will not do so in the future. Better to learn early than late - when it matters.

Actually, on topic of votes, do you mind if I ask a quick question? Where I come from, on Instagram, likes are dished out rather arbitrarily and you do not necessarily have to be invested in the liked comment/post for it to be worthy of one. How do you allocate your votes daily, knowing they are limited? Do you tend to refrain from voting on comments, or perhaps be very selective on posts? Or, do you upvote most everything out of courtesy?

I'm not sure what the exact limit for getting the vote power slider is, but since a while ago, I personally invested a sizable sum into Steem Power, I can now vote quite liberally using only 5% of my voting power each time and still have a somewhat financially efficient vote without exhausting it right away.

The new users' vote is always at 100%, at least on Steemit, so it gets wasted quite fast. Although with that much steem power it doesn't really matter if it does.

I used to upvote almost everything, but these days I have a standard I try to uphold. You can read about it here and here.

In a nutshell I am very generous with my upvotes, but also try to keep my downvote strict but fair.
