Story Time

There was a time where I decided to leave my house to live alone. I had discussed a lot with my family and things did not stay the same, so a friend decided to receive me at his residence.

He lived in a set of buildings in which buildings next to me lived other of my best friends so the thing was not so ugly or difficult.

They had an audiovisual production company, they were in charge of recording theses for university students, photography sessions, music videos, opening stores, castings of models, etc. And they decided to give me an opportunity to work with them and it was then when I fell in love with photography.

In those times the situation in my country was not easy, we had just emerged from an era of anarchy and unrest, so things were quite tense in the streets. But still we managed to get out and get the job done.

I met a lot of people, I participated in the recording of a short film called "Detrás de Cameras", I recorded a casting for one of the largest and most recognized clothing stores in Venezuela, photo sessions with paintings, as well as photos for a company in charge of organize parties and events.

It was that time also where I met one of the most influential people in my life and one of the most special people I have ever met, my best friend Thalia. She is a Colombian girl who came to live in Venezuela for a while since her father still lived here in Venezuela. We were terrible at first, I think we even hated each other but as the days passed we realized that we just did not know each other. Over time we began to live together and to be closer than ever, she told me her life, she told me how she met the love of her life and they had a relationship for 2 years, they got engaged and they were going to get married.

But one day a terrible accident happened, her fiancé was working and they sent him to find a material in the store's storeroom, when he got on the elevator one of the cables that held the elevator dropped and he fell and died, she told me that she ran out of her building and down the stairs, that's when I realized that she and I were always closer than we imagined beacuse that day I saw a girl running down the stairs and i didn't knew why or who she was.

After a while she had to return to Colombia because of the situation in Venezuela but we are still in contact.

And I dedicate to her this post, to her that helped me so much in that time of my life, she supported me, she advised me, she accompanied me and she was unconditional with me without expecting anything more than a hug as thanks.

Thanks for so much Thalia and I hope you read this.
