I am Bill Cassidy

Hello Steemit. I've been here for a little over a month now. Made some decent posts and up-voted quite a bit of content. I wasn't going to do an introduction post but been getting pressured into doing it by my friends who have made mucho $$$ from posting. I don't mind if I make 1 cent or 1 million dollars, figured it would be good to introduce myself to the community.

I am a 31 year old living in Orange County California, my 'Stage' name is Bill Cassidy but my real name is Cassidy Summers. I work in construction and I absolutely love it. I'm a big fan of computers, the internet, decentralization, cryptography, bitcoin, DASH, surfing, NFL football, reading making surf videos and podcasting. I hate that 'then' and 'than' sound the same and I always get the two mixed up.

Computers: Been using them since I was 9. Had many windows machines but two years ago I moved to ubuntu and have not logged into windows machine since then/than. Over the last two years I've taught myself many new things about computers such as using a terminal, developing websites and learning how to use open source software.

The internet: I don't have many people in my life that I can call a friend. I've always spent a lot of time on the internet and many of my friends are from all over the world. This is the main reason I love the internet so much, because I can talk to someone in China, Africa and South America all at the same time.

Runescape: I used to play a game called runescape back in the day. My runescape name is Ganesha and i still own the account to this day. I have one level 99 skill (defense). In 2003 when I first started playing I created a clan Called ZeonicForce - if anybody played runescape and knows my username or clan I created lets get in touch.

Decentralization and Cryptography: In Jan 2014 I found bitcoin. From there I started getting into other cryptocoins such as Ripple and Darkcoin. I lost interest in Ripple but continue participating in the dash community. I started volunteering my time to the dash project and over the course of 3 months I created 25 how to videos for the Official Dash Youtube. Ill be attending the D10E event in San Fran on July 19-20.

Podcasting: Sometime in 2014 I started my first podcast called The Daily Dose of Dark. This podcast was targeted at DASH community members. I did 55 Shows in 55 days and called it quits. None of these shows recordings were saved so there is nothing that lives on. After I ended the Daily Dose of Dark I started my next podcast called The DARQ - this podcast focused on privacy, technology, decentralization and cryptography. I never ended this podcast but I don't record new shows too often. And that is because I host another podcast for daspaymagazine called The Dash Cast.

Public Dash Slack: About 4 months ago I decided DASH needed a public slack channel so I created one. Since opening the slack channel we almost have 400 members and we post over 15,000 messages per week. I've brought in admins and owners to help me run the place and the team we've built is amazing. We also have a dash tip bot in slack and sometimes it rains on all the online users in slack. Surfing/Surf Videos: I live in a city called Huntington Beach, also known as Surf City USA. We are a surf town and I've been surfing my entire life. Learning how to surf is one of the most nerve racking things a person can do. But once you learn how to surf it can be one of the most exhilarating experiences a person can have.Sometimes when the waves are too big for me I bring out my video camera and film instead of surf. Here are some of the videos I created over the last couple years.

I was on family feud with my 4 sisters

My great Grandfather is Burnett Guffey. He won two academy awards for Cinematography. One for Bonnie and Clyde and one for From here to Eternity.
