#introduceyourself Extra Credit Studios - adults who play with toys!
Hey Steemit community! My name is Mark (right) and I run Extra Credit Studios with my business partner Carlo (left). We are a production company that specializes in stop motion animation. So basically we play with dolls all day and usually make them say very bad things for our personal enjoyment.
We are the creators of The Most Popular Girls in School, which is an animated YouTube series about a bunch of foul mouthed high school students who live in the upper-middle class city of Overland Park Kansas.
We also produce a show called Dr. Havoc's Diary. The show is all about a super villain named Dr. Havoc who desperately wants to take over the world (is that so much to ask?). The whole show is basically an excuse for us to make our own super heroes and villains, and make them fight each other.
We are always trying to grow into new areas of technology and social media, so when one of our animators (@tysonjames) told us about Steemit we had to check it out! I'm not sure if we have half a clue what we are doing yet on here, but our motto has always been "Let's just jump in there and try to figure this shit out as we go."
So I guess this post will be our first leap!

Woah this is awesome, is it hard to create this kind of animation in youtube? By the way, welcome to steemit @extracredit for sure a lot of our fellow steemian is excited to see your next blog. =)
It is sooo hard to do stop motion for YouTube! ha ha, its a fairly labor intensive show to make and the YT audience is basically like hungry hungry hippos. They just want more more more, faster, faster, faster! But we are lucky to have a great fanbase and we do our best to get as much content out as we can.

It is not ha ha. We really just chose it randomly on a map, but now we have done a lot of research and include a lot of real places in the city in our show. We have even had fans go to the places and take pictures.
