My introduction in Steemit. "An adventure in the Waraira Repano"
Good morning friends of Steemit. My name is Erick. I'm 22 years old.
The Waraira Repano National Park is located in the central stretch of the Serranía del Litoral of the Cordillera de la Costa, in the jurisdiction of the Capital District (CARACAS) of Venezuela.
¿What does Waraira Repano mean?
The indigenous people of the Caribbean ethnic group, former inhabitants of the current valley of Caracas, gave the name to the mountain as Guaraira Repano, which means "Big Mountain"
The Repara waraira has a height of approximately 2200 meters, and offers a beautiful view over the Capital.
The beginning of an adventure
Together with my friends we decided to go up to a viewpoint on that mountain, called "The Stone of Indian"; We arrived at the first checkpoint to be able to enter the mountain, and to our surprise the national park was closed for the summer. At this time of the year the park is closed due to the increase in temperatures in the region and this causes the multiple forest fires that affect its floray fauna.
We no longer knew what to do when we realized that we could not enter. We would miss the opportunity to spend a pleasant walk and a good afternoon of adventure!
So the park rangers and soldiers guarding the entrances, were neglected and we took advantage of that moment; We ran the risk if they caught us being detained for 48 hours. But we decided to take our chances and ran like wild horses.
I swear I was short of breath and I was going to faint as I ran, but we were able to evade security and continue with our plans to see
from that stone to BEAUTIFUL CARACAS.
Something Really Strange
While climbing we ran into a group of young people just like us, and they ask us
- Where are they drilled?
We responded: - Toward the stone of the Indian!
We continue climbing and they were left behind, it should be noted that there is only one way to go up and down.
They spent 1:30 minutes of walking and we arrived at a point to rest; When we see a group of people approaching between the bushes. Then we hid among the shrubs because we thought they were park rangers and if they saw us we were going to be in serious trouble.
Waiting for it to happen is a group of people, we noticed that they were the same guys that we had met 1:30 hours before and we had left behind. They came back, we all stayed in terror but in silence. We waited for them to leave and we left the bushes
and we could not believe what we just saw, we got confused, we tried to draw absurd conclusions to calm our nerves. But the reality was that this group of young people were fantats who got lost in the mountains. we investigated, we asked everyone we met on the way if they had seen them, but their response was
NO, followed by a "be very careful about this route".
As we could between laughter and jokes we forgot what happened and we continued our adventure.
We almost arrive
The walk continues, and the more we climbed we delighted with the beautiful flora, fauna, rivers, sight, and that fresh and pure air that gives us the vegetation of the Great WARAIRA REPANO. We were not long in coming, there were approximately 30 minutes to reach our destination, and from the bushes came a snake about 1.30 meters long, and stopped in the middle of the road; The fright he gave us was very brutal, but we were delighted with such a beautiful animating and seeing him in his natural habitat was an experience that was not lived every day.
"We arrived!
After walking for 5 hours, we were finally able to reach our goal. We went through many difficulties. We arrived exhausted, exhausted, afraid, but arrived. We had fun, we laughed, we played, we admired beautiful landscapes, and we were able to connect with nature.
We were able to appreciate the beautiful city from the stone of the Indio that saw us born, grow up, and discover that there is no other city in the world like Caracas Daughter of the Waraira Repano
