Hey Steemit: My Introduction
Hi everyone, thanks for checking out my very first post. I hope that you're all having and will continue to have a good day.
I'm Elfleda, a writer, crochet and knitwear designer and trained archaeologist from London, England. (England being a country on the island Great Britain and part of the United Kingdom or UK hence the dd/mm/yyyy date format in my picture).
I created my Steemit account some time ago, intended to start immersing myself in the Steemit community and then... nothing. I wandered off and that was pretty much it. Until now...
I heard about Steemit via a recommendation on a youtube video which, if I'm honest I don't even remember now but at the time I thought that Steemit sounded very intriguing so I signed up. I thought I would be able to learn more about crypocurrencies, about which I know nothing, (sad but true), conspiracy theories, internet history/archaeology and the other interesting subjects which are discussed on here. I also thought that it might be a great place to get some feedback and constructive criticism in regard to my writing.
Anyway, I don't want to ramble on continually, I just hope that I can add positively to the Steemit community so again thanks for taking the time to read this.

Here a few tips for starters snce you probably won't get any advice from those who comment under here, here's what I gathered thus far.
It's tough to make money at first so if that's your main cause to be on here grind that into your head straight away, that doesn't mean you shouldn't post content, you should, but enganging with others in the comment sections to grow your following is your best bet. Which categories?
Probably the introduce yourself one and the photography section but you can choose things that you have knowledge about too and then go from there just know that there is a lot of crap on here so plowing through that just to connect with others can be tough. Cheers.
Hey, thanks for the advice. I've actually read this post on some other #introduceyourself posts and I took the advice to heart before making my post.
When it comes to making money on Steemit, whilst I'm sure that would be really great what I would really appreciate more is if people actually read my posts and liked them since I enjoy writing and hope that my stories can entertain others. So again thanks but making money is not my main cause for being here. I just thought that this was a place where people who think for themselves are likely to actually read something not forced on them by the mainstream media.
