Hi, I am that Nigerian that's not a 'Nigerian Prince', and I'm glad to be here!

Hey everyone, I am Dolapo, a Nigerian and it's a pleasure to be on this platform.

Many people all over the world have been contacted by a 'Nigerian Prince' via a phoney email geared towards scamming them of their hard earned money. I am not one of those princes, even though I am a prince in my own right. I will explain in a bit.

I was born in the late 80s into the Adelana royal family of Ibadan, Oyo, Southwest Nigeria. I am a graduate of Computer Science, who is passionate about creative expressions of all kinds, but I major in writing and content creation.

WHY STEEMIT?

A colleague and friend of my @shodiya introduced me to this great platform, and I thought to myself, why not try it out? Why keep your thoughts and creative expressions to yourself? So this is me giving myself a chance to be me while also providing everyone on this platform with a gateway into my thoughts.

I am currently one of the editors of one of the leading online news platforms in Nigeria saddled with the responsibility of generating top-notch think pieces while leading a joyful team. I write about topical issues ranging from politics, religion and sports. I am married to the best woman on earth - an officer in the Nigerian Army and I support Liverpool Football Club and San Antonio Spurs.
