My first post - My name is Laszlo

Greetings Steemians!
So, time for my first post. It looks like one should post some kind of introduction to begin with - a fine tradition I think - so here we go.

My name is Laszlo Dobos. Though the name is pretty Hungarian, I was born in Sweden and still live in the capital Stockholm. English is not my native tongue, but I will try my best. Married, no kids. I studied computer science at The Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. I've worked as an editor at IDG Sweden (yes, like in International Data Group, the American publishing firm) for the past eleven years, for the first five years within the TechWorld editing team, and later I joined "the dark side" working with content marketing and lead generation.

I've been lurking around Steem and Steemit for the past months, checking you out, but now I thought "what the heck, just get in there". My main interest in Steem is not so much the crypto thing per se, but rather the publishing and business implications and possibilities this technology might bring to the world, and SMT in particular.

My first impression of Steemit is that it seems to be a friendly place with lots of mostly nice people and many interesting post and discussions. And lots of people with skills on crypto and Steem, of course. Good job thus far! As a professional publisher and editor, however, I find it ... well ... um ... improvable. But hey, we must all start somewhere.
