Steemit from a beginner's perspective
Let me start of by a short introduction of myself: I'm a 28-year old man currently living in Copenhagen, Denmark. I hold a master degree in statistics and enjoy any sort of (board-)games.
So as many, I found my way, obviously, to steemit through the world of cryptocurrencies and in particular Haejin, which a friend of my had found some late night probably. I'm not going to choose any side the ongoing controversy involving Haejin, but I do wanna give you my simple thoughts and experience of steemit so far.

I really think the idea behind steemit to award user for creating content is great, and especially is it fascinating to let this be decided by the community! However, steemit is kinda like a game in my opinion and as in any game people will always try to bend and even break the rules if possible.
From my experience so far there are many problems and it's creating a toxic environment the community. I originally had plans to write this posts a few weeks ago, but I hesitated because I didn't really know if it would be worth the time and effort. Now I did and I really hope that everyone think about how to make steemit a friendly and fair place for everyone, because it doesn't seem to take much effort to destroy it.
Have a great weekend everyone! :-)!
