Steemit Everyday!
Hello, Steemit!
First of all, I want to tell you that I usually do not post on social media, like Facebook or Reddit, however I am a long time lurker of those websites. That’s how I found out about Steemit in the first place. I am sure many of you were like me before you came here, which is why my post is yet another proof of Steemit’s awesomeness.
I believe that expressing ideas and sharing your knowledge with community does not necessarily requires proof of identity, which is why I will remain incognito, at least for now.
Nevertheless, I will tell you a little about myself, and what I am doing here. I grew up in a small town of 400,000 people in Russia. When I turned 16, I was accepted to a University in Boston, and now I am 20 years old and graduating in a month. I have many hobbies and interests. I play piano, but honestly not so well for now; I know how to ski and snowboard (Well… I am from Russia); I have a PADI scuba diving license. I also love travelling a lot. I’ve been in many places all over the world, but lets just say that I only haven’t been in South America and Africa yet.
It was always important for me to be in charge of my own life, which is why my major is International Business & Administration, and yet I came to realize that what I am becoming is just a piece in puzzle, a tool for corporations to use.
That does provide stability, yet that is not what I always wanted. And the harsh truth is that even Harvard Graduates often end up working for people with much lower education than them, but that’s a topic for another post.
I started to use Steemit about a two weeks ago, and as always I stayed low and looked around. And then I discovered for myself the crypto world and blockchain technology. Probably for many of you it isn't anything new, but I have never been involved in it before. And so I decided that I will educate myself about it.
Decentralized social network is an amazing idea, and I can’t even imagine how many times it’s better than what majority of people use. Steemit is something entirely new, and people are rightfully confused by it, however I see so much potential in the platform. What I especially admire on Steemit is the community of smart and enthusiastic people that gathered here, many of whom are specialists in very interesting and innovative areas.
I am looking forward for using this platform, and I am very interested of what others may think of my ideas and theories, which I will share with you in the near future.
Sincerely,
digitalarchitect
