RE: Hello, new steemian here

Hey Trevor, I adore the suit, and your pups are so cute, climbing all over you!!

I very much look forward to seeing your monthly installment from your archives, i can really appreciate the struggle of wanting to edit, wanting to do things, but being weighed down by things like anxiety and depression. How have you found steemit so far?

I put forward your latest story for the @bananafish curation, we are a small writing group, we try and support and encourage each other, and super thrilled to see you did get the upvote and invitation to the discord (i don't know if thats something you use?)

We are a group who love writing, but primarily want to help and support each other, and would be honored if you wanted to join us. We have weekly writing contests, but its a great place to start out finding an audience on here. I don't want this to come across as pushy, and there are other groups on here you may equally find your footing with (the speculative fiction one comes to mind). if you want to drop by and enter any of the contests that might catch your eye, we currently have a weekly haiku contest, and a weekly contest to come up with an ending for a story/premise, with a new contest for speculative fiction/scifi that may be right up your alley due to launch next month, that said, there are plenty more contest I can recommend if you are looking for some.

A slightly belated welcome to steemit, we'd love you to come win some prizes from us, bu equally always happy to find active authors on here <3

Thank you, @calluna, for the warm welcome, the support, and your invitation. I think in the future I'd enjoy joining your group, but right now, I am unable to commit to anything that requires regular participation. I'm still trying to find my balance. Some days I'm good, but I've not even been online (or outside) in a week, and I couldn't predict when I'd be back. I'll keep an eye out though, and when I think I'm able to participate more, I'll make sure to notify you and put some contest entries in.

Aww thank you for getting back to me.

The contests run every week, but no commitment or regular participation is required to join in, you can just drop in when you feel like it, most people don't enter every week, so you are very welcome to just enter the times you feel like it, or the prompts that grab your attention, as few and far between as that might be.
I can kinda struggle with facing people, replying, interacting, anything, but on the good days, when i want to join in with something, it's nice having somewhere that makes me feel wanted. I have had a few months where i haven't really done anything on here, and every time i come back to it, they welcome me back with open arms. There are no expectations in terms of joining in again and again, too many good writers get lost in the crowd on here and just wanted to point you in the direction of a friendly spot for fiction.

That said, we're not just here for the good days, if there is anything we could do on the bad days to help ease them a little, we would love to. (Although, I know that equally people wanting to be there can just add pressure and make it worse. I f you do want to leave it for now and come back to me another time, be that months from now, no matter how long it has been, I will still be very happy to hear from you)
