Hello Steemians!

I've been remiss at writing an #introduceyourself post, so here goes...

I am a 53-year-old Native Texan, who in the wake of all of the recent bannings, de-platformings, and censorship by the Facebooks/Twitters/Paypals of the world has suddenly become very interested in free speech and non-fiat payment systems. It is an absolute travesty what happened to Gab (though I understand that they are back up and running), and it's only a matter of time before it happens again. People always say:

There has to be a better way!

I think Steem or something like it (way to post without censorship, way to get transfer funds without censorship) is the way forward, and I'm here to do my part to make this happen. Personally, I'm not in it to make money. The real motivation for me is to ultimately deny a market to Mark Zuckerberg, Jack Dorsey, et al.
