Introduction

I've spent most of my adult life as an educator and creator of moving image for TV and Film. At 5 years old, when watching Close Encounters I was totally transfixed. I realised then that films were the creation of visionaries and not real (hey i was 5) when the scene where Roy stops at the cross roads and a 'car' pulls up behind him and the lights lifted vertically, also lifted my stomach in to my throat with excitement. I was totally hooked. I picked up my first video camera when i was 9 years old and never looked back.
