Reputation score is mainly based on upvotes and comments .
No matter what you post ,if it gets upvotes and comments then reputation score will increase
Don't let someone flag you or downvote you..

Yes, you are right. There is a list of academic references at the bottom of the article. There may be some overlap with words I've previously written on my blog mrwatergeek.com etc but after years of blogging on this issue, that's pretty unavoidable at this point.
