Over 100 Followers! Didn’t Expect You That Fast :) Short Story About Me And My Impressions After Two Weeks on Steemit

Hello Steemians!

Today I want to share with you my personal feelings about the platform and my main motivations how and why I’m here.

So I have joined Steemit just around two weeks ago and since then I wrote a few articles about my favourite topics and interests. I must admit that it was quite a challenge for me to to write that much in English. I probably didn’t write that much (in English) since I’ve finished my education 4 years ago. Although it was just a few articles I hope that some people found something valuable in them.

So... I some time ago I realised that I want to write even a short book about techniques and methods, which I learned through my life, that might someday save time and effort of the people who would read it. I believe that the biggest value we might share with others is useful knowledge, which may save time and effort on the way to goals that others want to achieve.

That’s why I really like buddhist philosophy. It has answers for every aspect of human life and makes you realise that most of your problems aren’t that big or even aren’t real problems at all!

My favourite book is „Opening the Door of Your Heart: And Other Buddhist Tales of Happiness” by Ajahn Brahm. I strongly recommend it for everyone seeking self and spiritual growth.

So I thought “I want to write something like this!” But the problem appeared - It, takes long time and some things may change during writing and also I had no idea how to put all of it together.

“Maybe a blog then?” - I thought to myself. What a wonderful idea! I could just write about whatever topic I want and jump from one thing to another without wondering if everything is connected to itself. But… I didn’t have a website and I wanted a good one! - But good one takes some money, which I didn’t have as well :( Also as I was making some surveys I found many disadvantages of having own blog.

So for some time I was being lazy and dropped the topic almost completely. But then my friend told about Steemit, a new platform where you can share valuable content with others and even get paid for doing so! So I googled it and checked out some articles. Everything was looking very nice, as you can run your own blog, write about everything you want and even get paid for that. WOW!

I really like to write - but in my mother tongue… So at first I was a bit shy to write in English, but then I thought it’ll be a wonderful opportunity to improve it. And I’m really satisfied because every article and comment gives me opportunity to be better in English! I know it’s still far from perfect but in few months it’ll certainly get better!

My second motivation was that I always wanted to be able to travel and work remotely from any place in the world. Now I’m learning WordPress so I'll be able to make websites on my own soon! I can also write articles from every place (with internet connection) on Earth! Actually my earnings on Steemit aren’t enough for a lunch yet but soon they’ll get better. That’s why I love Steemit! I can fulfill my dreams here. And all of that thanks to you! Because we create this community! Steemit is certainly my favourite social media right now and I’m sure that Steem cryptocurrency will be one of the top because it has great platform and even greater community :)
