Venezuelan quesillo decorated
Today I want to share a recipe that we like very much here in Venezuela just as in other parts of the world this dessert is called quesillo is like a flam but with a different consistency very tasty and with few ingredients I hope you like it and do it below I will explain with images the steps
- We need a can of condensed milk
- 5 eggs
- 5 spoons of sugar for the candy
- A splash of rum or liquor is optional in this recipe do not add any type of alcohol
- Complete milk can already be powder or liquid
*Vanilla
- The zest of a lemon
- To mix we need a blender
- We need a pot of quesillo and a normal pot both must have their tapas
Well these are all the materials we need to make this delicious dessert, now we are going to do the following: in the quesillo pot we add 5 tablespoons of sugar and 3/4 of water, and put it in the kitchen at low heat , it will melt and a dark color will form, try to cover the whole pot with the caramel and let it cool you will have something like that.
And now we mix all the ingredients in the blender for three minutes then there is to put the mixture in the pot of quesillo , then you have to put the small pot where is the mixture in the large pot and fill with water to the middle of the small pot and cover it here I will leave a photo of how it should be then the lids and turn on the kitchen is cooked flame high and have to be aware of the water level to be adding more always have to get to the middle of the small pot you have to cook this dessert in 1 hour and 15 minutes
After 1 hour and 15 minutes the lid of the pot is removed and with a wooden stick it is introduced into the quesillo if it comes out clean is because it is ready, and it is left to cool and it is demold, then it is put to refrigerate, it can be left so on this occasion I decided to decorate it in another publication I explain how to prepare the decoration, the decoration is made with coconut truffles and melted sugar.
