Introducing my travel and photography SteemitMag I Issue #1

I guess I have to start by introducing myself. 

I'm a 24 year-old French woman who loves travelling, discovering new places and experiencing new things. In society, I would be defined as a student in Master degree of English language, literature and civilisation. My master degree would lead me to English teaching in some public schools, but having a wild soul and always craving for new trips, I can't help thinking about the next journey I'll do.

Here is a picture of me, taken by a friend of mine in Times Square, a few weeks ago. In fact, I'm currently in New York city. I'll certainly write a post on this amazing city which never sleeps.

It's hard to define oneself, whether one should be defined by one's professional carrer, passions or either feelings. Indeed, I'm interested in many things in life, but at least I can say that I consider photography as a sort of passion that started in 2013. I mainly take pictures of landscapes and nature but also of people I met along the road or close friends. If you are curious, you can have a look on my website  : http://www.diandragalia.book.fr . Moreover, I also did modeling in France for some swimwear brands but as being quite small (5'5"), I can't expect to have a huge career in modeling. In any way, I really like being in front or behind the camera. Having experienced behind it has taught me about lighting and angles, how to move, and what looks good and what doesn't. When I was younger, my mother used to take thousands of pictures of my sister an I. I guess my mother's love for photography influenced me as I grew old. Sometimes, in photography there is a reality so subtle that it becomes more real than reality. It is, I believe, the photographer's subjective perception of reality.

Those two pictures where taken in The Standard Highline Hotel, which is located in Manhattan, in the Meatpacking district. It is composed of two towers made of concrete and glass. The rooms are marvelous and you can enjoy an amazing view from the rooftop bar. 

Thus, I'll be posting some of my adventures : accounts of the previous trips I did, pictures of amazing landscapes, as well as pictures of me during those trips, in the next issues.
