Steem is more to me than a new social network, Steem is a new economy.

Couldn't agree more. And while the relative obscurity is overwhelming up-front, I actually see that as a bit of an advantage in this early stage. It will weed out the weak willed, and reward those who have the discipline and intelligence to stick it out and find the ways to amplify their voice on the platform.

The bots thing is annoying however. Bots have no real business on the platform IMO, and it would be a better overall user experience if these accounts were banned entirely.
