The Origin story

"They say I'm young but my purpose is the inspiration of a nation, innovation till I change the talk into a conversation": the lyrics to my favourite song from the movie Let it shine. I am Afini of the house Allaputa, first of my name.

I did not choose the family I was born into, I was gifted to them and they also are gifts to me. My dad, mum and four siblings, two brothers and two sisters. The family of Christopher Allaputa.

I am fortunate enough to be born into a supportive house. In everything I can count on my family for unending love and support. They're the reason I'm able to keep chasing my dream against all odds.

Especially my dad, he's a businessman with a special ability I like to call " the sharingan". He has the uncanny ability to copy any skill he observes, he's multi talented. I've seen him work as a mason, a carpenter, a plumber, an architect, an interior decorator, a party planner. It's like having da Vinci as a father.

Most of all he's very patient. As kids he'd bring us together and get us to make stuff. I remember a mask he made for me and then swords and we once made ropes from plant barks and clothes hangers from discarded wires. He's the major reason I loved science and engineering.

My mum is also awesome, she's very patient with us kids and would even indulge is a little when her judgement permits. She'd often back up our projects no matter how seemingly childish. She could be a strict disciplinarian though.

She's a civil servant and quite a hard working lady. She recently completed her undergraduate program after having 4 kids and nursing a fifth infant, managing a job and running a home. She's proof that god's walk among us.

My older sister, my best friend that year. 😂😁. Could tell her all my secrets, however people grow up. My younger sister has now taken that position. She's just 13 but is like 5.8ft and has the knowledge of a 20 year old. Even telling me stuff I don't know at my age. And I'm like 7 years older than her.

Finally my brothers. They're troublesome pair. One is older but they sometimes act like twins. They can be thorns in my side but when the chips are down we make a formidable team. I guess that's the beauty about family.

Home is the place where when you have to go, they have to take you in. Home is that place where the fridge is available to you 24/7. Home is that place where your WiFi connects automatically.

With this amazing backing I'm able to face any and all challenges. My back's covered.

I'm a graduate of chemistry from the university of Port Harcourt ( my autocorrect is saying Portland, amen oh, I receive it). Trying to find my place in the world . trying to figure out my path in all this. Is this chaos or is it order.

I love reading, eating (yeah, food is bae) , movies and computers ( they're like the future anyways). I love programming like crazy. Could spend hours in front of a computer ( as long as there is food though). I'm good at python, PHP and JavaScript. I also code Arduino micro controller. A device for building and controlling almost everything from robots to WiFi.

I believe technology is the future and science should be seen as a way of life z not boring subjects forced on kids. I love advanced particle and nuclear physics, neurology, astronomy, bio-engineering (yeah, you're probably expecting me to say chemistry but if you have any experience with it you'd understand why I'm being silent over the issue).

I'm a believer in humanity. Humans as a species have an untapped overwhelmingly amazing power. An in-depth study of human civilization from the Mayan empires down to the present day will show our unique ability to do the impossible. I mean z we've been able to understand the language of the universe.

I believe in the ability of humans to overcome any obstacles in their path and my purpose is to help them do that. To be the repairer of the bridge, the restorer of places to dwell in. To help humans achieve their true abilities and to be an even better of their best selves.
