Hi I am Rambozo. I am trying to get my friends on steemit!

I live in a house with five other people. I have managed to talk one of them into joining steemit, his name is @BUDMAN and he likes to post about weed. The other people though, they just hang shit on us because, as most of you fellow minnows know, making 1c of a post isn't exactly attractive and for those who don't understand the steemit concept, it seems like a waste of time.
How do I sell the concept to them? Should I tell them their life is so interesting, they will gain followers in no time? Or should I go the other route and say their life is so boring, it's probably not worth it to them. If I could get a couple more of them on steemit, the rest will be sure to follow. Any ideas?
