Hello Steemies. I'm new!

Hello Steemies, I'm Katie. I'm a half-English, half-Scottish lassie, and I live between the UK and France...not in the English Channel you understand, I mean I'm back and forth between the two!

 In my thirty years on the earth I've lived in England, Scotland, France, Italy and Holland. I suppose you might say I'm a bit of a free spirit. I'm more bohemian than most! Here I am after a few too many cocktails. 

 I'm an actress. I grew up watching stage shows from the age of 1, and the theatre has held me captivated since then. I get goosebumps when I watch a play well acted, and tears in my eyes when the actors take their bows.   
 

Here's me in a short film I did a while ago. There were two leading ladies (alter egos) and I played them both! 

And I'm a chef too. I've always loved cooking, and I decided to take the plunge and re-train a couple of years ago. I enjoy having a go at making anything but I particularly love recreating Mediterranean and Middle Eastern food. I have a weakness for butter, chocolate and aubergines. Not in the same mouthful though…   

 Here's a summer ceviche I made for some private clients.

 Here I am at the Ritz in London after scoffing my way through a champagne afternoon tea. It was divine! A real treat. 

 I can't wait to get stuck into Steemit, and to read all of your interesting posts. In return I'm going to be blogging, mainly about my food, mostly about desserts!

I'm into presentation- I work in fine dining so it's all about detail, subtlety, colour and imagination. Here's a dessert I made.
