The 'Golden rule'

Hi Steemit member? thanks for welcoming me in the Steemit community. I've this post for us, though it may sound so obvious, the actualizing of it has been the struggle for many.
It's about doing to others as we would want them do to us, often known as "The Golden Rule," is actually a quote of each instance wherever this teaching is recorded in …the gospels. Here are the passages, from the New King James translation: Matthew 7:12 - Therefore, whatever you need men do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and also the Prophets. Luke 6:31 - And just as you would like men to do to you, you also do to them likewise. The teaching serves to help one fulfill the "second commandment" - to like your neighbor as yourself (Matthew 22:39). How is that accomplished? By considering them first. Whereas the "Golden Rule" begins with DO, Christ's teaching begins with the charge to consider however you would like to be treated by others, THEN "do also to them." The misquote conjointly diminishes the purpose of the teaching by exchange "whatever you want" (a sturdy, positive statement) with "as you would have" (a much weaker, neutral statement). This lends itself to the idea of "Don't treat folks badly, because you do not need them to treat you badly," and lessens the teaching's true intent. It's very vital that Israelite says "as you wish men do to you…" What can we want from others? That they treat us not bad? We need somebody to comfort us once we're unhappy, to share our joy when we're happy, to be there when we're in want? according to Jesus' teachings consider these things first, then treat others accordingly. Jesus used our narcissistic nature and challenges us to reapply it to the manner we tend to treat others. Shall we make it our way of life and God will bless us.
