Hi Steemit World! My fight to preserve wild life and threatened species against poaching and corruption...
Hi Steem community, let's introduce myself.
My name is Erwin, i'm 33 from the city of Strasbourg, France.
I will try to make short, so i'm a former french soldier from the moutain elite infantry ("27ème bataillon de chasseur alpin" in Annecy, French Alps), veteran of Afghanistan (be sure that i will speak about this later...).
After having "served" more than 6 years, i decided to leave and to commit me in another cause, the wildlife protection and conservation, particularly in Africa for animals who are victims of poaching.
For me, this world is a paradise and i think we have to do all that we can to preserve it, i think that all of us, with our skills, our background, whatever there are, we have to do something to protect this world and by the same, the future of Mankind.
In other way, i think that fight for the preservation of our world is a big part of wrestling under capitalism.
Yes capitalism kills, divides, impoverishes many people in the world and destroy our planet. So we need, to save this world and the Human society, to protect people from war, starvation, sickness and many other scourge.
For that we need a world social harmonization, a better sharing of the wealth and a new human thought... This is unfortunately what the aggravated capitalism prevents at present.
Now you know me and i hope you will follow me to listen my stories, stories made of sun, fantastic animals, fantastic humans, stories of Life and unfortunately, sometimes, stories of blood and tears....Stories of Africa.
Faithfull to myself, i would talk, sometimes, about political, sociological, economical (it will be large) and other subjects that revolves around.
Back to speak about Africa;
My trip began in july 2015, after months of searching a place in Africa without answer, i decided to go in DRC, Democratic Republic of Congo (only the name is democratic...),
in Virunga volcanics mountains, North Kivu, in the Virunga national Park to meet people who work there and discover the heart of Africa.
I will write, later, an article about the park and the famous moutain gorilla but before all, if you never have heard about, go immediately to netflix and search the beautifull
documentary from Orlando van Einsidel; "Virunga" and stay well, watch your eyes....
After this fantastic experience i went in Bénin, in a sanctuary for orphans monkey, during 5 month, i have work with people who help and protect baby monkeys, victims of poaching and hunting.
Now i work for a little French NGO, who works in different country in Africa. Our job is to train local parks rangers and deliver them skills to make a better job and remain alive in the face of the poachers' actions and the growing threat of poaching. So there is a lot to speak about and unfortunately, sometimes, hard and sad.
