Introducing myself and my photography

Hi Everybody,

I'm Dan. I'm a 21 year old Canadian. About a year ago I graduated from a two year Digital Photography and Imaging program at my college and these days I'm working on building myself up as a professional photographer and also have a job at a camera store in my city.

This is my girlfriend Monica, and she's the bees fucking knees and my best friend. We have our own little apartment together where we spend our off time just doing whatever we want. I love the fact that she's also a painter. I take my photos and she paints her paintings, we even have dedicated the second bedroom into our art room where she has all of her paints and everything ready to go and I have my studio lights and backdrops ready.

With my photography I really like to show the way that I see the world. Sometimes that means me taking calm photos from the perspective of somebody stepping back and watching the world go by and sometimes I really love to bring my own sense of humour out. I think a lot of the parts of day to day life are just ridiculous, I think as a collective we spend too much prioritizing shit that really doesn't matter but that we assume does just because that's how everybody else treats it. Because of that I'm really attracted to parody and really absurdist humor. I show this occasionally through my photography and sometimes through completely stupid youtube videos.

I'm also really fascinated with technology. I can't wait for things like automation and AI to come in and revolutionize everything. I really do think that the technology that's being developed now will change everything and fix many of our problems. For a few years now I've known a little bit about cryptocurrencies but it wasn't until recently that I started looking into it. There is still so much that I don't know about the whole thing but today I heard about Steemit and right away I knew I had to find out more. I really don't know when the last time if ever, I was this excited to join a social media site but everything I've seen so far looks amazing and I'm so excited to now be apart of the community here.
