Presentación! Introduce Myself!

Voy a intentar ser breve y sucinto, no por pereza, sino por consideración a quien quiera simplemente saber de que se van a tratar los posts que pretendo compartir con la comunidad Steemit. No es bueno abusar del primer encuentro.

Mi nombre es Benjamín (Mora) y soy un músico nómade. La música es una de mis primeras pasiones y definitivamente la mas duradera, sin embargo, es cronológicamente la tercer profesión que ejerzo en esta vida. Antes fui guía de rafting, por varios años y después abogado -en realidad realizaba tareas de abogado pero era estudiante de derecho. La semana antes de graduarme renuncié y comencé a dedicarme exclusivamente a la música hasta el día de hoy.

Respecto de la vida nómade, lo cierto es que vivimos en algunos lugares a lo largo del año. El tiempo de estadía lo determinan las condiciones que cada lugar ofrece y el placer o las dificultades que nos está generando esa vida. De repente nos conviene quedarnos 2 meses en algún lugar, 10 meses en otro, 2 días en otro, 1 año en otro, etc. Hablo en plural porque hace 3 años que vivo/viajo con Carla, mi persona favorita. Ya vivimos en pueblos y ciudades de Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Perú -donde nos conocimos- y Brasil -donde nos encontramos actualmente.

Todas las actividades capitalizables que sabemos hacer requieren de turismo para ser rentables -musica, fotografía y gastronomía- y son nuestra única fuente de renda. Por eso solemos viajar en busca de algún lindo lugar turístico a donde pasar altas temporadas altas. Las temporadas bajas son, o nuestro momento para viajar y trasladarnos o, en algunos casos, para conocer mejor el lugar en donde vivimos mientras esperamos la próxima alta.

Cuando viajamos en la temporada baja aprovechamos para, además de turistear, pasar unos meses en varios sitios donde se esté practicando permacultura, bioconstrucción y/o agrofloresta. Para vivir en esos lugares, solemos ofrecer, a cambio del alojamiento, la comida y el conocimiento, algunas horas de trabajo por día (que es la forma practica de adquirir ese conocimiento).

Todas las oraciones que escribí en este texto fueron sucedidas por párrafos y párrafos de palabras que tuve que borrar, porque prometí ser breve y sucinto en esta presentación, y porque esos párrafos borrados son el contenido que pretendo trabajar bien y ofrecerles a lo largo del año.

Esta cuenta fue creada para darme un motivo para escribir y compartir sobre los temas que componen mi vida, y para grabar y compartir los temas que compongo e interpreto en mi vida (que es algo que ya hago en Instagram). La posibilidad de participar en los #openmic de los viernes y la de organizar las ideas sobre lo que me interesa en un texto y compartirlo me divierten muchísimo. Ayudar e incentivar a otras personas es lo que mi carta astral mas me propone hacer. Por eso, si alguien todavía está leyendo esto y ya de antemano tiene algún interés o duda del estilo de cómo vivir de la musica, por qué hay gente que lleva una vida nómade, cómo grabar canciones, cómo se venden los shows de blues en Brasil, cómo tocar en la calle, ventajas de convivir con una fotógrafa brillante, principios de la permacultura aplicados a vidas nómades, experiencias en voluntariados, alquileres amueblados sin contrato en paraísos turísticos, vivir en carpa, construir con barro, o cualquier otro interés o duda que este post les haya generado, háganmelo saber en los comentarios así me siento a escribir con consignas que les sean útiles a ustedes.

I'll try to make it short, not for laziness, but because I'm considering the people who just want to know what is it that I intend to share with the Steemit community. It's not good to abuse of the first meeting.

My name is Benjamín (Mora), I am a nomad musician. Music is one of my first passions, and definitely the more long-lasting one. Nevertheless it is, chronologically speaking, my third job. I've worked as a rafting guide for several years, and after that, as a lawyer -actually, i did “lawyer activities” but i was a law student, and the week before graduating i quit my job and decided to dedicate myself exclusively to music.

About the nomad lifestyle, I must say that we actually live in some of the places we visit throughout the year. The time we spend on each place is determined by the conditions each place offers, and the pleasure or difficulties that life is generating us. Suddenly it's convenient for us to stay 2 months somewhere, 10 months in another place, 2 days in another, one year on another, and so on. I'm referring to “me” as “we” because the last 3 years I've been living/traveling with Carla, my favorite person. We already lived in towns and cities of Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Peru (where we met) and Brazil (where we are now).

All the activities that we can capitalize require tourism to be profitable: music, photography and gastronomy; and they are the only income that we have. That is why we travel in search of nice touristic villages to spend high seasons. Low seasons are our opportunity to travel around or, sometimes, to know better the place where we are living, while waiting for the next high season.

When we travel the low seasons, besides touristing, we like to spend some months in places where people practice permaculture, bio-construction and/or agroforesty. In order to live in those places we usually offer some hours of work per day, in exchange of accommodation, food and knowledge (taking into account that the working hours we offer are, simultaneously the practical knowledge of the activities we are learning).

All the sentences I wrote in this text where followed by paragraphs and paragraphs of words that I had to erase, cause I promised to make it brief, and because those erased paragraphs are the content I plan to work on and share with you throughout the year.

This account was created to give myself a reason to write and share everything about the subjects that compose my life, and to record and share all the songs I compose and play in life (that is something I already do in instagram). The possibility of participating on the friday's #openmics and of organizing the ideas I have, and write them down in order to be shared sounds great to me. Helping and encouraging other people is what my birth chart insists I must do in life.
