I'm really excited to become a new Steemit Member! What an awesome concept and platform!

Most people would describe me with one word, I am an artist in every sense of the word. I have often jokingly said to people that if you cut me I would bleed a rainbow. The world is my canvas and I am compelled to constantly create. For me, it is the air I breathe and the water that quenches my soul. I have worked as a professional Artist in numerous mediums for over 32yrs. A generous portion of all proceeds from my work has always been donated to charitable organizations.

I liken my relationship with art to my relationship with God. It is an intimate spiritual experience. God being the ultimate artist. Anything any of us can create is only a mere shadow of his grandeur. Even the storms that terrified me as a child are filled with unmatched beauty. (Raging Storms are one of my favorite things to photograph and paint)

I am an Executive Producer of Public Educational TV, Digital Media Specialist, Radio & TV Talk Show Host, and Fine Artist, etc…

I’m into human rights, animal rights, Eco-friendly products, sustainable living. Upcycling, repurposing, alternative energy, zero waste, natural health, and healing etc....

My life was drastically changed in 2007 when my children and I were T’d by a 16year old joy riding.
Everyone in the car was injured. I was closest to the point of impact and the most severely injured. As a parent, I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way if it had to have happened. I had to take a few years leave-of-absence from my formal work to recover. I kept up my skills by doing charitable projects during the healing process.

I was told I would be in a wheelchair the rest of my life and never get the use of my rt arm back which had to be literally reattached. I walk, I dance, and I paint again…just much, much slower. Many of the Doctors call me their Miracle Patient that defied all odds. It has been a long and very painful and insanely expensive healing process which consisted of about 21 surgeries and surgical procedures over 6 years costing $500k + for my care alone. The driver only had $50k insurance which the attorney took off with making the last 11 years financially very difficult. ( I could go on a major rant about paying for top full coverage insurances that has a million loopholes to get out of paying when you need them…but I won’t)

During the healing process, three major events took place in my life. We began a global information network WYDK Global Network, public educational TV programs WYDK TV =What You Don’t Know TV and I became a kind of advocate for the disabled. I had several close calls during surgeries that made me felt that I needed to record any important life lessons I wanted to share with my children in case I didn’t survive. I had already had a talk radio program for 10 years, so I started shooting public educational TV segments. I had to learn to endure extreme levels of pain daily. Doing the programs helped me stay focused on positive things I could do. Editing and post-production tasks took so much focus that at times I ‘d forget the pain entirely. At our peak, WYDK TV had 9mil viewers and 70k members. The letters and stories of how what we had share helped people touched my heart in ways I couldn't imagine or ever explain. Deeply humbling, how God will still use you even at your worst and how what you may say or do can have an effect greater than anything you could imagine.

The doctors prescribed enough pain meds to knock out an elephant, but I refused them. I knew my bodies best chance of healing was by not filling my body with toxic, addictive drugs. I also need to be alert and fully aware of my care and treatments. I quickly became aware of the extreme epidemic of the abuse of people with disabilities and the things they/we are forced to endure daily. By their care providers, the specialized housing for the disabled and even the doctors. Is beyond sadistic. The laws mean nothing if no one enforces them.

I filed a federal lawsuit in behalf of myself and approx. 3000 disable people who were being severely abused, several have died from abuse, neglect, toxic black mold, and radon gas, unfit living conditions and no one cared. _9 people at the facility I was living at contracted cancer, including myself. _It is an ongoing battle for Justice for the sick and the families of the deceased. Despite my standing alone against a 50million + a year corporation and a prestigious law firm (evil bullies), but we are winning with the truth. Failure is not an option!

Once again God is showing me that what we may think is impossible is possible. What we are capable of is limited only by our minds. Everything about our society is designed to limit our minds. We must find the courage to go against everything we have been taught to find our true strength.

I find my life to be like the story of the Phoenix.
Several times I have had to overcome insurmountable odds and rise from the ashes. Each time I had to begin again I became stronger, wiser and brighter. Only time will tell if this the final chapter in the book of me or another rebirth.

** Either way, I’m ready for what’s to come and will continue to do what I have always done….ART...ART and more ART!**
