To DO List #1 Introduce yourself on Steemit
Hi Folks!
I'm Mateja... European. Croatian. Traveler probably, it is not surely defined. But as this is currently my only job...then probably I'm traveler. And my budget is low-cost. I don't eat in restaurants, don't sleep in expensive and luxury hotels and don't travel by car if possible! And I have so good travelmate.
My second one love is cooking. I adore it, I enjoy it! And of course, eating this. I'm not professional chef, and I'm not masterchef, I just love cooking and try out new recipes. Who know, maybe one day I will find myself in it so much that it will become my calling.
Okay, how did we begin to travel? Hm, our first travel was on New Year's Eve, to my country neighborhood Bosnia, Sarajevo, so beautiful country. Oh, how good coffee do they have...and čevap / kebab. Amazing! And it is cheap. Another one reason to visit it! But it was so cold winter there, -15°C all the time during those three days!
Next was our first flight travel, Stockholm, Sweden. It was short flight, 2hrs I think. First I've been scared but when I saw the sea of clouds below us... Such a great feeling! It was Easter, year 2015. And it was so cold and breezy. Stockholm is so charming city, on so many water and Island on it and around it...
October 2015 , Budapest, Hungary. Central Market Hall was the most interesting place there and if you're shopping addict and have an open mind about to food exploring, that's really good place for you. But they don't speak English.
Easter, year 2016, Scandinavia again, this time Denmark. København has been our main destination. But we had short and cozy trip by train to Malmö, Sweden. Christiania (København ) and its hippie culture was one of the most interesting "things" there. The best thing in København are cycle path and cyclists right to rule... Cycling congestion!
Few times during the winters we were skiing in Austria and Slovenia. I'm not so good at it, too hard... but no withdrawal!
September, 2016. Italy, Bologna. I was impressed with its arcades and architecture! Most beautiful city I ever visit! It is so special and magnificent! Italian language is wonderful to hear!
After that we couldn't stop anymore. Something have urge us to make a change, we needed it...
And than finally, we have agreed to move from our routine and people we're surrounded with. In August year 2016. we've got working-holiday visa for New Zealand... and we started to saving the money.
