I do like the idea of non-alliance players have a path to get some of the reward pool. Still, from what you describe a lone wolf would not collect from the alliance pool. While a player participating in an alliance would be able to collect from both pools of reward. Point being is any player that is motivated to play for reward would play for both. What if a reward pool existed for only the non-alliance players?! That alliance players could not get reward from. It would be interesting to see how that changed game dynamics. I'm not suggesting this would be 50/50 split. Maybe proportional by how many are playing in alliances verses how many are not. I would guess that greater than 90% of active players now are in alliances. So maybe the reward pool split might look like 90%/10% among the active players. IDK just some thoughts. I do think a reward pool for non-allied players would certainly be helpful for gaining new players. Especially if it allowed them to collect well for the good growth that can happen when just starting out. Growing from 1 planet to 5 is much quicker then getting from 5 to 10 planets. Thanks for continued growth of the game. Having a good time with it.
We'll see about that. For now I've set only people without alliances to be rewarded with a part of the pool (and the second part with alliances). I'll think whether to introduce a dynamic pool system, because it's interesting.
