The Minnow's Video Interview: The little Minnow's who could

HashOcean
Once upon a time friend told me about hashocean.com an Ethereum (ETH) cloud mining website that pretty much guaranteed a 100% return on your money in approximately 5 months. The site had been running over 2 and half years, everything looked legit with over 700,000 users and millions of dollars invested, was it too good to be true though?

The day I exchanged my Bitcoin (BTC) into ETH to make my first investment at hashocean.com I noticed the website was down, the entire company disappeared, they had cut ties and run away with everybody’s money. It was well-planned Ponzi scheme that had paid off big time.

Shortly after the HashOcean scam the same friend told me about Steemit.com and how he just received a $1,000 payout for writing a ‘rant blog’ while he was drunk. You could probably picture yourself in my shoes now and imagine what I was thinking. Of course I thought it was another scam, I asked him to withdraw some funds to BTC before I even bothered to look at it.

Steem Day
I remember trying to write my first few blogs and how I struggled to get a grip on the markdown editing. Spent a few hours writing a blog and got paid nothing for it, my girlfriend was like “that’s a lot of work for 2 cents”. Glad to say I have come a long way since then and she no longer makes fun of my blogging attempts.

Progress
So this is where the Steemit video interview comes into play. I knew I had to ‘step it up a bit’ put myself on the line and try something a little more outside my comfort zone. Now having my new super cool shirt and a friend who can do some video editing I was in shape to try this interview.
@senseiteekay on the left & @jaycobbell on the right, thanks ethan for narrating
This is our first one, it’s a bit rough but we are looking to improve for each video we do in the future, I apologize for the audio. We didn’t want to set our standard to high for something we have never tried before and besides we don’t want to steal all the votes from the @dollarvilgantle how else would he be able to pay his gardener, chief & body guard?
Future
We are not sure what the future hold for our Minnow's club, we are now starting to network with other groups. Similar to what #craigrant is doing. We have a group of over 30 Australian members and are currently working on a new steemit tag for our international group. If you are interested in joining come to our steemteam chat channel. Thanks for reading as always and follow me @jaycobbell for future updates.

Indeed, a lot of work for a couple of cents. LOL I know that feeling. I'm living it! Ah well. I seem to be doing better by commenting on other people's posts and just gave my 31 posts in 31 days challenge a day of rest because...well... there's only one of me. I really enjoy your blogs and as interviews go, I think you did rather well! So glad that you gave them an opportunity to really speak and answer the questions. :) Keep working outside the box! You just never know how large your wingspan is.
very kind @merej99!
I get this empty feeling when people mention "hashocean". (like my bitcoin wallet empty I mean). Also I made my first money on steemit last-night in a drunken rage. So there's two things we have in common.
