Hello Steem! This Life 4 Now's new content

Hello, Steem! I'm a new poster to Steem. I live in Helsinki, Finland. Like everyone else here, I will be sharing some of the knowledge and experiences I've gained in this life. Perhaps some of it will be of interest to you, or maybe some of it will even be useful.

My primary 'thing' (as in: the past 20+ years) is computers and the internet, although with a twist. It's a lot of internet-related Linux, primarily server-side with a little desktop, with and an emphasis on day to day security. Privacy topics will be a part of that. Also, I work with routing (including BGP), and just a small touch of Windows. I'll be writing about various topics within those realms.

I have been breeding guinea pigs as a small-scale (but high-ish volume) professional breeder for the past year and a half. There is a lot of misinformation going around online about guinea pig breeding - or actually, it is better described as hatred toward guinea pig breeders. The hatred is unwarranted and self-perpetuating among the haters, and my posts about the actual details of ethical guinea pig breeding will be a refreshing break from the haters' pseudo-science and vitriol. The information will reflect my understanding at the time of writing (my knowledge about this increases the longer I do this). These posts will be of interest to anyone with a curiosity about guinea pigs or an interest in starting to breed themselves.

I have an understanding worth sharing about some veterinary topics. I have some professional experience working in a veterinarian's office (this was back when I was in college), plus lifelong experience in ownership of various animals. Some of my posts about this topic will be of interest to pet owners, although some of the subjects will not be appreciated by certain veterinary offices (at least in the United States). Preview: some of them are in it for the money, and their guidance to the pet owners reflects that goal - your sick animal makes their pay check. No conspiracy theory here, it's just how it works for certain practices (at least in USA).

There will also be some other miscellaneous post topics, generally science-y or similar. Those will be variable in nature - you will have to see what they are when they come out, I presume. 

Some of my posts will reflect views that not everyone agrees with. As we are different people in this world, that is only natural.
