Finally Mugabe quit the post
Zimbabwe's President Robert Mugabe finally resigned. According to the statement by parliament speaker Jacob Mundada on Tuesday, the AFP news agency said.
Mugabe said in a letter that the decision was voluntarily decided to transfer peacefully to the BBC, according to the BBC.
Mugabe retained power for 37 years. The army has kept house arrest in Mugabe on August 15 by a coup in the head of the country's vice president after a week of dismissal.
Then Mugab's party and thousands of people demanded his resignation and started the protest. The Central Committee of the Jan-PF Party dismissed him last Sunday to step down from the presidential post.
