Lost but not forgotten... Songwriting challenge Week #12 "Mind Melding"
I really appreciate the patience and understanding that those of you that follow this blog have shown over the past two months. Life can sometimes kick on the tumbler, and by that I mean kick your ass. I think the most important thing is that we stand back up, set our intentions and move forward day by day, projecting love and kindness whenever possible.
So with that in mind, and to make up for my prolonged absence from this blog. I'll be releasing a new post daily for the next twelve days to catch back up. The first song is called "Mind Melding". It's about setting intentions and living in love in the here and now. This moment, right now, is the most important moment. This moment is a gift; that's why it is called the present. Carpe Diem my friends. https://soundcloud.com/morganwasham/mind-melding

Beautiful song. Powerful voice, interesting message.
We usually hear in songs and poetry about joining hearts and making souls commune. I like the idea of mind-mending as a real merging of feelings and ideas.
I think the song makes us ponder some insteresting questions: Can we find the right mind? How do we know it is the right one? How do we mend?
I attended grad school at Athens, Oh. I have fond memories of that beautiful town and its surroundings. Lovely people. Never felt more liked and respected in my life. Your accent makes me remember the local folks in stores, markets and fun places (like the demolition derbies or fairs).
Carpe diem
Thank you very much and for your kind words and introspective mindset! I too lived in Athens! OU alum yay! You had my accent figured out! Blessings!
very good interpretation. It was gratifying to hear you. Thank you for sharing your talent with those of us who live in steemit. well done friend. Greetings from Venezuela.
Thank you very much my friend! Greetings to you from Ohio!
ehy dear @wildwoodmedia, beautiful song and beautiful voice !! :-)) you're right: living the moment is very difficult for us and yet, absurdly, we can't do anything else; the future must come and the past is already gone ... but our mind and the settings of our society make us live with regrets for the past and concern for the future. it would be nice to fix everything with a song :-)) congratulation
@road2horizon Thank you dearly for the kind words and your thoughts about the song! I too wish we could fix the world with a song. Although, I feel it is a place to gather thoughts and channel them toward the greater good! Blessings.
yes, music has great power. I do not know why. probably manages to reach the ears of the soul, to sweeten the heart and to silence the reason !! how many things ... :-))
Living for here and now is difficult when there are so many sources of pressure, but we've got to take things one day at a time always
