The two basic principles to start a successful Instagram page for your brand + BONUS CONTENT
There are two basic principles when it comes to creating a successful Instagram page for your brand. The principles are the same as branding and can be applied to any Social Media. When you truly understand this and implement it correctly, your brand will thrive. Social Media is very important for any brand. Do not overlook it! It is the next big thing, it is still cheap, and easy to create a highly targeted audience.
I made a blog post about this subject over on my website. I highly recommend reading it. But in this post I want to clarify something I have missed in the original post.
The Two Basic Principles
First, let’s talk about the two basic principles. I am not going to clickbait you into the blogpost. Although there is a lot of value in that post. I share a great example of a big company we all know and how they successfully implement these two principles. The two basic principles I am talking about here are:
- Your page is your first impression
- Your customer is the hero
That’s it. Your Instagram page is your first impression. Many times it is the first time someone interacts with your business. We all know how important a good first impression is right? So be presentable, not just when meeting clients, but when being online. BE PRESENTABLE ONLINE. Never buy fake followers, likes, comments, engagement, anything, just because you want to cheat your way into tricking people that you are presentable online. It will always fail! People notice, just like nobody is tricked into clicking banner ads, people don’t get tricked into fake Instagram profiles.
Be presentable online
The next thing is that you need to understand that your customer is the hero! Yes, your customer, not you. You are a guide to your customers. The customer comes to you because he wants to achieve something, he wants to thrive, he is looking to solve a problem, he wants to be transformed. Just guide him! Do not push the ego of your company towards him, but a guide. Give him value, so that he can achieve his goals.
Never push the ego of your company towards your customer
BONUS: Never underestimate the power of providing value
Here is the bonus, something I didn’t go through in my original blog post. I only talked about it briefly, but I didn’t stress it enough. Giving value and giving it for free is the best thing you can do. No, I am not talking about giving away your actual service for free. But you will need to give your best insider information, form it into content and spread it across Social Media. On Social Media, you need content. You need content, content, CONTENT!! If you aren’t putting out content every day, you lose. But if that content isn’t valuable, you loose again.
On Instagram, content is king!
You will have to post a lot of valuable content if you want to be successful on Social Media. So giving value while producing content at the same time is a big win. Again, your customer is looking to solve his problems. If by interacting with your content, he is slowly being transformed for the better, that is when you win! That is when you create fans. He will share the most valuable content with his friends/colleagues/family members and you will gain followers and clients. This is the biggest gain of clients you can get, tap into it.
