LIVING A LIFE OF INFLUENCE

This piece is long overdue, but each time I was set to write it, something came up, and I'm so happy it is equally my first post on steemit. And this will be the first of many in this "influencing others series"...

Well, here it goes!

I've been meaning to write on how much what "we" do influences others.. saying we, I mean "you and I", "us"

We meet an average of 5 people everyday and guess what? They have a tendency to imitate us long after we meet, weird, right??

So let's do the maths, in a month, that is, 30 days, I would have successfully influenced 150 people unconsciously! Wow!😲

I agree it's safer to act like no one's watching but the truth is, people are watching, some to learn, others to criticize but the thing is they are watching!

Remember that teen you stepped on at the bus stop without apologising? He's going to think it's "okay" to step on people cause you are older.

How about those dresses you wear that are way too tight and uncomfortable, your little niece is already trying it out with her dresses.

What about those profane words you said casually? Don't be surprised when you see your kids saying the words "jokingly" too.

I strive to live with a consciousness that I am being watched, I'm not a celebrity, definitely not but I know I am an ambassador to a heavenly brand, and if my life isn't pleasant enough to emulate, how do I preach Jesus?

I .............. (your name) as from today would live a life worthy of emulation because I am a representative of Christ here on Earth and I am made a blessing to bless others

As simple as that!
Work in that light!
Not easy but possible!
