This shocking news gave Fatima the courage to do all the things she had always wanted to do in her life. She took cancer as an opportunity to get things done.

After undergoing chemotherapy she was declared cancer-free, and in April 2018 she cooked in public at the Pebble Beach Food and Wine Festival. In October 2018, Ali’s cancer returned, and she reported that it was terminal. She died at her family’s home in San Marino, California on January 25, 2019, at the age of 29. Fatima lived well and fought her tough days with extraordinary strength.

May Allah bless her with peace in heaven.
