GOD'S BLESSINGS : FREE OR CONDITIONAL

Good day to all steemian, happy Sunday to you. I just want to inspires our faith more in God.

From time immemorial, God have loved man with an everlasting love which is inestimable. We are created in His image and after His likeness which has bestowed on us an higher authority, hence, we are gods. Man is given power to reign, function and dominate in earth but one thing remains utmost dilemma in that man does not have all blessings according to the promise of God.Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

I can vividly remember one of our children Sunday school song which says, "Abraham blessings are mine, Abraham Blessings are mine, I am blessed in the morning, I am blessed in the evening, Abraham blessings are mine". Most of us sang the song, waiting patiently for the the fulfilment of the blessings but have you ask yourself what are the reason behind the song?. Have you considered the man after God's heart called Abraham the father of faith and why we are saying his blessings are ours?.
If we consider Abraham very well, we can see that Abraham have complete obedience to God which is what God requires from us if we are to truly receive divine prosperity. God has covenant with Abraham , the first covenant between God and Abraham involved a strange ritual in which a heifer, a she goat and ram (each of them three years old), a turtle doves and a young pigeon were involved. Each of the animals and fowls has its own significance in those days. But now, our Lord Jesus Christ has ushered a new covenant sealed with His own blood.
In the covenant between God and Abraham , God made 27 promises to Abraham which are subject to 4 conditions. One thing about God is that He will never break His covenant unless we break our own. He is willing to enter into covenant with you today if you are willing to live holy from now and henceforth forever.
Remember that nothing goes for nothing even in our human being to human being relationship. Psalms 50:5 says, Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice (KJV). Until you take His yoke upon yourself before you can enjoy God's blessings in your life.
