Purpose is what puts meaning to life amidst the burdens we face.
Life is never meant to be smooth for anyone. There will always be pain at a point in time as long as your still alive. Sickness, heart break, death among other disasters can strike unexpected in your life or the lives of your loved ones. This applies to the beautiful moments in your life too, the joy of success, having people around that care for you, true love from a companion will come knocking on your door at a certain point if it hasn't happened yet.
Burdens and pleasure can not be avoided and yet none of them is a constant in life. It's upon you to continue following the purpose you set for yourself which all makes the true meaning of life. No one is in position to decide how your supposed to live only you can find the big 'WHY', set goals and a make a go at your dreams. This is what puts meaning to life irrespective of the burdens that will come our way.
Otherwise enjoy where you are and where your going and accept the hardships that will come in the way.
