What is your value?

The question each of us ask ourselves  is “what is my worth?”  We constantly assess ourselves in all that we do and all that we say.   Either we let someone else set our value or we actively set it ourselves for better or for worse. 

The entire industry of psychotherapy is built around helping individuals asses their self worth.  Feeling worthless is unhealthy.  Thinking you are better than everything and everyone else is narcissistically harmful as well.  If you are an optimist you set your value high. If you are a pessimist then you naturally under rate your self worth. Most of us falls somewhere in the middle of these extremes.  Various corporations make billions of dollars by manipulating our image of self through advertising, and oppressive censorship.   

If you don’t set your own self worth then Corporate America will do it for you. 

Facebook, Instagram,  Youtube, Twitter and many other corporations have told us in no uncertain terms that we our value is a big fat zero.  They have shown that they intend to set our worth high or low as they see fit.  They censor, demonetize, and trivialize our contributions on a corporate whim.  To add insult to injury they flood us with advertising, collect, and sell our personal data and give us nothing in return.   

We now know there is a better path to self expression.   We are the Steemians.  We have said Hell No!! No longer weill we tolerate the devaluation of our creativity and efforts. We have found our path.   

We … the Steemians will determine our worth amongst our peers through hard work; not through corporate advertisers.   We are worth a hell of a lot more then what Facebook , and YouTube will ever admit

Set your own value of self worth

We who comment and post on Steemit challenge any previous notions of self worth. We are saying to ourselves , and to the world, that our thoughts and expressions have value . We are saying life has taught us something worth sharing.  We  Steemians have the profound belief  that our efforts, and creativity have, not onlh meaning, but have great value.  

We have faith that sharing is a way of caring for our community and for our fellow man.  We believe that our creativity and sacrifice will be rewarded in mulitiple ways.  We now have a platform that aligns with our values.  

Each day we can remind ourselves  that  “ If someone else has done it then so can we” 

We  hope  We aspire;  We have faith in ourselves and others. We have faith in community, in cooperation, in hardwork, and in our peers.  We will not accept no for an answer.  We dare to dream!  

We dare to contribute becasue  

                        WE ARE STEEMIANS!!
