Why Creative People Tend To Be Rebellious
Creativity is associated with the openness of new ideas and creative ways of doing things. Do creative people sometimes conflict with the norms of society? The answer is both yes and no.
A good example of this would be someone who is creative that works in a traditional work environment which does not stimulate creativity. Most work places do not stimulate creativity. Their rules are rigid and they must follow strict guidelines to meet the company’s policies.
Are You Creative At Work?
Does this sound like your work environment? Or does your work place allow for your creativity to be explored? I work part time at a grocery store while I get this online business thing figured out. I can tell you, working at a grocery store is extremely boring and unfulfilling.
While I am grateful for the job, it allows me no virtual stimulation for my creativity. This is how work environments generally are. You go to work, follow the rules, get your daily tasks done, and then come home and call it a day. How boring is that?
Why Creative People Struggle
There is no doubt that creative people struggle in an environment which doesn’t support or nurture creativity. People often find out the hard way when they enter a job that doesn’t meet their creative demands or requirements.
The job itself may not be the problem either. It may be the collection of people working at the job. Some work places are open to new ideas, while others are very rigid and strict in their ways of doing things.
What To Do If You Can’t Be Creative at Work
All of this can cause a person to become rebellious towards their attitude of their own work environment and the people there. So what can you do about it to fix it? If there is literally no room for creativity at work, then you might be SOL in that particular situation.
However, you can always find a hobby or passion that you enjoy outside of work. If you have spent years studying a passion or hobby, then the best thing you can try to do is start an online business. Why not? It sure beats the hell out of working a boring day job!
Make The Most Out Of Your Life
It would be nice if work environments could respect and nurture the creativity of certain individuals, but that certainly is not the case with most companies. Most companies, as sad as it may seem, only care about the how well their business is doing and don’t give a shit about the creativity of their employees.
Make the most out of your own life and find a passion you enjoy, or make a business out of a passion you already have. Life will be much more fulfilling this way if you take this approach!

Interesting post. I too believe that one has to be creative, and let that positive energy flow on a regular basis. After all if we only live for survival, and not beyond that, then life can appear quite dull. I often say, "don't let making a living become an excuse for not living - i.e., find the time to do what you love." Thanks for the reminder. Cheers! :)
