Difficult Thing
Amelia Mary Earhart (born July 24, 1897; disappeared July 2, 1937) was an American aviation pioneer and author. Earhart was the first female aviator to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean. She received the U.S. Distinguished Flying Cross for this accomplishment. She set many other records, wrote best-selling books about her flying experiences and was instrumental in the formation of The Ninety-Nines, an organization for female pilots. In 1935, Earhart became a visiting faculty member at Purdue University as an advisor to aeronautical engineering and a career counselor to women students. She was also a member of the National Woman's Party and an early supporter of the Equal Rights Amendment.

She really is an inspiration to women everywhere.
We have a great quote from her today.
"The most difficult thing is the decision to act, the rest is merely tenacity."
I've also heard this said a different way:
"The hardest step is always the first."
How often do we go over and over something in our heads afraid to make a decision?
It is very easy to psych ourselves out while weighing out all the pros and cons of the situation.
Whether it is a good or bad decision it is the initial action that will make it easier.
Those who do best in this world seem to be the ones that can feel a gut impulse and act on it without thinking.
Making a decision about attempting something new can be worrisome and scary sometimes, especially if it is a seemingly large decision.

No matter what that first move is there are always so many things to consider.
There are normally to many to actually consider them all and we end up going in loops in our brain trying to decide.
I used to eat at a small mom and pop place in my area.
The place seated about 20 people but had a decent menu.
Whenever I would go to the restroom there was this framed poster conveniently hung on the wall behind the toilet.
It said "20 Secrets to Success".
Each time I would let my eyes wander and catch one of them, most of which were quite good.
I would then ponder that statement the rest of my day.
There were a couple of these statements that stuck with me and I believe fit well for today's post.
"Be decisive, even if you may be wrong."
"As we get older we regret the things we did not do far more than the things we did."
If we just make a decision, and it happens to be the wrong one, we can normally rectify that decision pretty quickly.
Source
Even if we cannot, the regret of never making it may far out weigh that of making it and being wrong anyway.
In most cases it is better to make the decision, correct it if it ends up being a bad one, then move on.
There is almost never reward in not doing something.
However, there can be great reward in doing something.
Your decision does not always have to be to act either.
What's most important is that you make the decision.
So, if you are trying to decide whether to do something or not, and having an issue deciding, either do it or don't do it, and put the decision part behind you.
Stop beating yourself up wondering what to do and just pick one.
You never know, it could lead you to something wonderful!
The worst you can be is wrong.
Remember,
"The most difficult thing is the decision to act, the rest is merely tenacity."

Thats it man you got it!
Yeah that's one thing I'm trying harder and harder to do is just get over my fears and do it. Most of the time it's for nohing. Some of the times I'm justified in my fear, but know how to handle it since I was prepared. I have never regretted the decision to move forward in my life.
