My AtoZ inspirations: Sheryl Sandberg, an inspiration beyond words
Sheryl Sandberg
When I hear that Sheryl Sandberg is an inspiration and role model for all women on Earth, I don't quite agree. I believe she is an inspiration and role model for every single human being on Earth. She is an extraordinary woman who has taught me the need for compassion, empathy and resilience. She first caught my attention after her marvelous commencement speech at UC Berkeley and since then there has been no looking back for me.
“Leadership is about making others better as a result of your presence and making sure that impact lasts in your absence."
Option B which is based on her life experience after losing her husband is a book that everyone can connect with no matter what circumstances one has endured, it prepares us for building resilience and helps us face our battles. Sheryl also blows away our mind through her work on Lean In. It is a book not just for women, I repeat, not just for women but every individual who strives to create a world that doesn't discriminate any individual on the basis of gender, sex, sexual orientation or race.
“In the future, there will be no female leaders. There will just be leaders.”
― Sheryl Sandberg,
Yes, she is a billionaire and not everyone can lead a life like her but we have so much to learn from how she brought herself up from a humble background.
