This great artist can inspire nature photograpers for real

Do you like taking pictures of flowers?

Today I accidentally discovered an artist who would have made amazing photos of flowers… if he had had a camera.

But he lived in 18th century so he created these paintings.

Although I can’t call myself a huge fan of classic art, I ran across a dutch artist who really impressed me. His name is Jan Van Huysum. Look how realistic these flowers, leaves and fruits are!

This tulip really looks like it was a photo.

Thanks to these apples (I saw them on an artblog) I did my research about the artist. I was surprised to know he lived in 17-18th centuries because I thought I knew quite well the flemish painting. It was a good surprise.

The contrast of the blue and yellow is fabulous.

This one looks for me like a real prototype for the contemporary photograpy, with the very detailed first plan and the blured background

It is amazing how many details there are in this painting. Try to count all the butterflies hiden into the flowers!

We can almost smell the fragrance of the flower.

I hope this post will inspire you to make some beautiful pictures with your camera or on the canvas and you will share them here on Steemit.
