Rare Gems Of The Earth
Colorful gemstones adorn jewelry and treasure collections and serve as a lovely complement to gold. In fact, gold and gems pretty much go hand in hand when we think about wealth, luxury, and good taste. Diamonds are often thought to be quite precious, but there are a number of gems that are much rarer than this one.
Gems take millions of years to form and only a small percentage of them will eventually be found and then find their way to consumers. Mining Global has made a list of the 10 rarest gems found on Earth.
These rare gems include Poudretteite, which was first discovered in the 1960s. Another rare gem listed is Tanzanite, which can only be found around Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. Benitoite looks like glowing blue chalk when put under UV light and Grandidierite can emit blue, green, and white light. Black opal is the rarest kind of opal and red beryl is commercially produced exclusively at the Ruby Violet mine. Jadeite has a deep, translucent green color and very few Taaffeite gems have ever been found. Alexandrite can change colors. And Painite is so rare that only two specimens were known to exist for decades.
Earth is home to over 4,000 different minerals and many of them might never even be seen. But the rare gemstones that we do know about are certainly sights to see.
Innovative Minerals knows how to mine gold and is offering investors a new way to invest in gold. This blockchain project features a cryptocurrency that is backed by the gold that it mines. To find out more, go to www.innovative-minerals.io.
