Gratitude - Be Grateful at All times
The word “Gratitude” has its origin from the Latin word gratus which can be directly interpreted as ‘thankful’ or as ‘pleasing’ but either the interpretation nor the translated deviate from the true meaning of the world; as is simply means a sign or act of appreciation. Grateful is such an important act, especially in today's world, where there are so many people alive more than there has ever been in the history of the world. And this has some harsh realities.
Today, things are more challenging than ever, despite the presence of technological advancement. And part of the reason is that there are simply too many of us (humans) and that has made things get really challenging. Things are quite harder now than they were before, technology only makes things bearable. So, therefore, in this tough times, you need everything working in your favour, you need to be smart, a great networker, and grateful person too, because a simple thank you could make all the difference in a difficult situation.
So here are a few reasons why being a little more appreciative could be the masterstroke that will unlock your blessings and the many good things that might not have come your way if you were arrogant or disrespectful. This little things do matter and may go a long way in helping us win and succeed in life.
Be Grateful for the Little things
It is only when you are sick that you will appreciate the value and importance of good health, we as humans get carried away most times in our own little world we see ourselves as kings and queens at the backdrop of a little successful run. We exaggerate our accomplishments and undermine our failures, we are arrogant in nature. But when life hits us hard, then we truly find our roots, we go back to the people we know love and value us, we act like a beat dog, with our tails behind our legs and curl up in one corner, but it must not be this way.
When you are in constant gratuity to those who love and who we love, they will always be there for us. The little things like family, friends, good health and the gift of life, we ought to be grateful for having these things because those that lack this item in their lives are ether lonely, depressed, dejected or dead. When you truly appreciate these things and value their impact in our lives, this single act can give us such profound joy and peace.
Appreciate Experiences and Situations
No emotional state lasts forever, no matter how hard we try to prolong its longevity; no wonder drug addicts find it really hard to quit, because of they continually long for that feeling of excitement and freedom. For something as trivial a smile, or a great laugh or a warm and hearty conversation, we should learn to appreciate these things because not only will it give that gives a nice feeling, but they have a way of reinforcing your life to look positive from the external outlook. So, we should learn how to appreciate all situations of life.
Things like a picnic with your spouse, or walk with your pet down the street or times spent with family and friends chatting and catching you, can be phenomenal and instrumental for when the trying times arrive. There will be times when things will get hard, and uncomfortable, people will disappoint you, business partners may walk away from the business that you’ve spent time working on… memories of the good times might be enough to jolts some positivity into your life.
Being grateful is a very good deed and a commendable one. Because this life is God's grace, so in this life we encompass the various trials and challenges that we must go through, even though life is full of twists and turns, we should be grateful for the blessings of God that have been given to us. It is, of course, interesting to know the origin of the word gratitude which goes hand in hand with the word sorry to make the world a better place.
