Drain -Inktober
My 21st drawing for Inktober
The Inktober prompt suggestion for the 21st is Drain. I considered drawing a drain filled with water, but then I thought about the feeling of being physically or emotionally drained.

Creating the drawing
The section that would form the triangular 'drain' was masked off and ink applied, then the mask removed. Using a dip pen and drawing ink I drew in the outline of the figure.
I then added the droplets falling down the page, using water and ink to create them.
Drip, drip, drip!

It is a very representative picture of the States of emotional that we can get to have sometimes when things do not come out as we want or because we woke up feeling like this! It's an excellent drawing

Thank you - so far I have managed to do all 21 drawings. I don't normally do challenges so I'm quite pleased with my commitment on Inktober... just 10 more to go!
Oh I can only imagine how hard it is. I could create something every day, but when I have to stick to themes, that is really really tough

A great conceptual piece, rather than just going for the obvious. I love that you used real water droplets as the 'model' for it, it really gives it such life.
