Inktober 2017 Day 10 Stitches

Stitches is a character in the 3DS game Animal Crossing New Leaf. He was actually one of my first villagers in the town. I remember him being really adorable, but also a bit of a jerk if memory serves me well.

I used Kep Trefler's prompt for day 10, stitches. I could have gone the gory route, but I immediately thought of the adorable Stitches from Animal Crossing. I still wanted to make it Halloween themed, so I included the pumpkin ghost because Stitches is afraid of ghost.

I'll be honest, I'm not happy with this one. To be fair, this is the first time I used colored pens. And these pens bleed, a lot. When I did the sketch, there was so much promise and I was optimistic.

Then, when I colored in the face it disintegrated from there.

As you can see from this reference image, Stitches face is suppose to be a more orange-yellow, but I didn't have that color. :(
