This President Is Just A Gaffe Master

One of the few things I have notice with our president is the penchant to continue to project an offensive view , not minding whose ox is gored. The other part I don’t understand is his lack of concern in repeating the very act he criticises in his statements.

1. No matter how much he tries, Abacha can never occupy a heroic statues in this country's history, the number of road and hospitals he belt not withstanding. The number of killings, oppression and even the fact that he over threw a civilian government was enough offense. Today, what is known as Abacha loot is now a synanimous with manners from heaven. So. You see why those behind Good luck Jonathan will not give up on him, because, whatever scale you use to measure him. He is their hero too on many front, just like Abacha. Abacha cannot be a saint ahead of GEJ.

2. All of the people that this government has been flaunting under its credentials for fighting corruption are those who were perceived to have worked closely with the last president especially in handling cash. Today, the president hosts Buhari Campign Oganisation headed by the CG of Custom, a public officer. How do you want me to believe that these movement are not driven from public pulse. A serving minister is also your coordinator of campaign.

3. You as a president has served for 2 years before, 4 years now and gunning for another 4. But finds it convenient and unapologetic to ask what people who have spent 10 years at the assembly are doing. What where they suppose to do, construct road? The democracy you lead today was preserved by this national assembly. They killed the third term agenda and vitalized the doctrine of necessity. Now I understand why some persons in this government muted the idea of suspending the constitution to enable this government thrive. The complete disregard for the institution of the National Assembly by this president is in absolute bad taste and a disservice to his administration as we have seen clearly in the last 3 years.

4. The other specialization of this government is banding figures up and down. The president said all they meet was debt everywhere, but it is on record that his 3 years borrowing has dwarfed everything we borrowed in 16 years. This government is quick to mention how much oil sold at the international market but we bought fuel for less. Today we are buying at a record 145 and paying far more subsidy than he cried about.

5. It is this kind of contradiction that makes it difficult to follow this government. The president goes to London at will to get check up and treatment but, it becomes a crime for Olisah Metu to ask for the same. Don’t get me wrong. I don’t like metu and I think the various period of adjournment should have been enough for him to have been treated properly before returning to plea his case. But the man is saying, I can only get better if my health is handled abroad period! What is food for the monkey, should also be food for the baboon
