Zuck Doubles Down on the Stupidity of Dumbfucks
Do you remember when Fakebook was just a fad only for people in university? That’s right it all started over at Harvard as an exclusive social media network for the in-crowd. Later, Fakebook expanded its reach opening to other universities and then rolled out to the public writ large. In the Harvard phase of the experiment, there was an instant message conversation that exposed Zuck for who he is.
Zuck: Yeah so if you ever need info about anyone at Harvard
Zuck: Just ask
Zuck: I have over 4,000 emails, pictures, addresses, SNS
[Redacted Friend’s Name]: What? How’d you manage that one?
Zuck: People just submitted it.
Zuck: I don’t know why.
Zuck: They “trust me”
Zuck: Dumb fucks
I suppose this aside, it would be prudent to make the Lifelog connection and point out that for whatever reason they shut down DARPA’s Lifelog project the very same day that Fakebook launched. In the video below James Corbett does an excellent job covering this strange “coincidence."
In 2014 Fakebook purchased a virtual reality company called Oculus, seems legit right? I mean what could be wrong with Fakebook owning a company that provides cheap and affordable VR headsets? I’ll tell you what’s wrong with it. Big Brother Zuck, he wants to get his foot in the door and is using the alluring new tech to do just that.
What most people do not realize about virtual reality equipment is it requires sensors to work and these sensors are cameras you mount in your home. Only you don’t think of them as cameras because the company that provides them calls them sensors, that’s clever, right? I can only imagine there are many who will block their web cameras with a piece of tape or whatever works because they have privacy concerns yet fail to realize that those sensors are watching them all the time.
These VR headsets connect to the internet and phone home to report on user activities. As much data as the company deems ethical is collected, categorized, and then sold off to the highest bidder. It’s likely that you consented to all of this data collection when checking the little user agreement after having scrolled through it like the world’s fastest speed reader.
Flash forward from 2014 to today. Fakebook jumps the shark with a brand new product called Portal and Portal Plus. For all of those who’ve read Orwell’s dystopian novel entitled 1984, you may recall the dreaded Telescreens that big brother used in order to spy on the population, in addition to, regulating and exercising control over their behavior.
Only this time, instead of having a nosey Nancy pop up on your Telescreen to tell you how and when to exercise, it will be a virtual assistant or machine learning algorithm that imperceptibly guides you into making the “right decisions” by manipulating the results returned from your search inquiries. It will plant ideas in your mind, ideas that you will make your own.
Yup, upvoted you for that.
And, no I don't use Facebook. Had an account once, was too suspicious even back then to do much with it.
Continue being scared, very scared.
Thanks @joe.nobel, sage advice indeed!
I feel like now more than ever were on the cusp of seeing a huge rift in wealth/power in relation to IQ
I agree! Thanks for your feedback @publicfrenemy!

Great post @thoughts-in-time Upvoted and Resteemed. Big Brother has arrived and the public is near completely docile and duped into thinking its all normal. Waking people up is proving incredibly difficult unfortunately.
Thank you @clarityofsignal! I wholeheartedly
agree, it is a very sad state of affairs nowadays.
Motion sensors ain't less scary than a camera.
So much stimulus-driven data to gather there.
Facebook is not on my favorite list, their security is way too complex for an average user and a pretty loose anyways.
